» Water temp around Australia

What is the (avg/max/min/?) water temperature around the Australian Great Barrier Reef in August?I've just e-mailed my brother-in-law who owns a diving tour company in Australia on the Reef. I'll post an answer tomorrow.Hope the following paste from my brother-in-law's e-mail answers your question. G'day and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all (y'all?) Bernie, current temp Barrier Reef 27 - 30 degrees C. in August about 20 - 22 degrees. Try www.diveoz.com.au/temperatures/default.aspThank you very much, both the answer and link are helpful and appreciated. » Have you noticed this fact ?

Most of the people are accustomed to giving by putting their receiver on the receipient side. There is also another way of giving and that is by allowing others to feel like Givers themselves. It is for this reason that many Senior Citizens feel Useless after Retirement as they then get very few opportunities to feel like a Giver or a Contributor in some manner. But if one understands the Essence of Giving, they would know that Giving is all about inspiring happiness in any person. Even in any organization, the logic of inspiring the Team Spirit in the members centres around the idea that when people are made to realize that there is an effective Giver in them, their efficiency levels really shoot up. Thus, we can GIVE even while receiving ...... - 2009-07-04

Ok well about to years ago my mom had breast cancer(i was 11).When I found out she had it I acted like at wasn't even happening to me it felt just like a nightmare, that i never thought could happen to me. So durring the treatments and stuff I wasnt much of a daughter to her,I was in my little world. She would cry about every night because she had no hair and felt ugly and I wasn't there to tell her she was beautiful. Now that it is past us for the most part I understand what a bad daughter I was to her. » Creating a Database

I have a client in financial services that produces a lot of materials – from white papers and speeches to marketing brochures, article reprints, and entire communications programs. All of these materials contain information about various aspects of money management – from insurance products (life insurance, disability income, long-term care) investing, and retirement planning to financial literacy (for adults and children), behavioral economics and careers in financial services (from college age recruits on up). We are endeavoring to get these materials before individuals and organizations that have influence over or interest in any of these matters for the specific purpose of creating awareness of our activities. » Digital or 35mm

What camera type do you use ? Digital or 35mm. If you use both please vote for the one you use the most. Im just doing a bit of research :)Well, I have both. I recently got my 35mm camera; and I gotta say, digital is so much easier and so much more affordable. My vote goes to Digital.I use both Both have their Pros & ConsI like digital because the image is there for you to see where as 35mm you need to get the pics developed before you can see the results. I use them as I find it an affordable way into photography. Sadly im now finding that all the shops are now stocking digital only. I went in one today and they said that they cant wait to get rid of all there 35mm stock, 2 instamatics. I also find all too easy to delete all your pics b...... - 2009-07-04

have been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. There wasn't any swelling but extreme pain. It's been about 8 weeks and I still can't go into a butterfly position for my goaltending without extreme pain. I can walk without pain. HAS ANYBODY EXPERIENCED A HIGH ANKLE SPRAIN and tried to get back to playing a sport? How long did it take to feel no pain? I am a goalie and a goalie has to go into a butterfly position a lot and there is a lot of ankle bending to get into that position. im a figure skater and tumbler and cheerleader and i have had high ankle sprains 3 times. » How can I earn money and still stay home with my kids?

I have little kids and woud like to stay home and contribute financilaly, any realistic ideas or real oppertunities out there?Being involved with (working in) the local schools is a good way. It puts you in the rhythm with you kids, you go to work and school around the same times, and are home at the same times, and have summers off. I would ask if your kids are school aged? If not, you might not have many options until they are going. My own mother was involved with child nutrition and worked with the schools on a school-year like calendar for many years. Later, she improved her education and moved up the ladder. Even now, after I'm in college, I can remember my mother being around me and my brother when we were little kids for the su...... - 2009-07-04

» West Bromwich Albion vs. Charlton Athletic [R]

If you're like me, you've become rather jaded given the first few results of Bryan Robson's tenure at the Albion. (Perhaps that's why my count of posts on this board I mod has been rather low of late.) Yeah there was that point earned at Highbury, but nothing since. And now we're bottom, in real danger of widening the gap to Premiership safety if results don't start going our way. Can the Baggies turn it around against the Addicks? Robbo now has a squad fully-fit with no suspensions. Will he find the right combination of tactics and talent to upend the London club? The answer will come in a few hours...Albion had more of the ball, but wasted many many good chances on net. Charlton only needed one good chance to score, and their defe...... - 2009-07-04

» Why doCollege Coaches have so many cops around them?

I watch College Football and always wondered why there are so many Troopers around them after the game and not NFL CoachesFor security. Fans charge the field sometimes in college ball, police escort them for security purposes. NFL Coaches tend to have police escorts on the field as well, they may just keep their distance compared to college ball. You ever watched a European 'football' (soccer to us) game? There are friggin' bonkers when their team wins OR loses. Not quite as crazy here, but when the opposing team is losing, sometimes the fans get a little rowdy. well........... it could be that some not all but some are dealing coke... or .. they threw the game and the cops want their share.. or... they did something th...... - 2009-07-04

I honor our troops and I support them. I don't like the war and I also don't agree with having one. But the troops protect us and otherwise we would have terrorist attacks every where in our country. I hate the thought of bombs killing babies. I absolutely hate it. Is there some way I could get them out of Iraq and surrounding areas? I don't want to give monet to a charity. Is there any way we could bring babies here without literally stealing them? How can I raise money and what do I do with it after that?Say what? you want to raise money and you support the troops? How about actually using that money for good, and donating it to injured vets. And not to a cause that is damn near impossible of "bringing babies" over here....... - 2009-07-04

But the thing is you won't get paid for it that's the only hiccup. If you don't qualify for work study than you can't have a Work Study job. I need to know it ;I'm italian and I would like to set my story in a town very close london so please help your italian friend!!! thanks a lot! kssesTechnically, the City of London is one square mile, and is the finance district of Greater London, immediately next to that is the City of Westminster, where the British Parliament is based. In a wider sense, Brighton, by the sea on the south coast is a common location and became a City as opposed to a town a few years back. » I saw on BBC NEWS UK an article about a restaurant in Spain with one million bookings, they serve 43 courses,?

I think you may be thinking about El Bulli. It's possible that millions of people try to make bookings but only a few actually get them. They open for a 6 month summer season and 2009 was booked up some months ago. It's so popular because Ferran Adria the owner and chef is an experimental chef who has revolutionised Spanish cuisine in the same way that people like Heston Blumenthal have done in Britain. The '43 courses' thing obviously doesn't refer to 43 * meat'n'two veg / pasta pesto. The idea is you go and have many 'taste experiences' (example - a balloon filled with jasmine scented oxygen). http://www.elbulli.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Bulliyep,it's only meant to be o...... - 2009-07-04

This may be a dumb question (I always say there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people), but do the teams in the Bundesliga have any political affiliations similar to Serie A or La Liga, such as liberal, conservative, etc. My friend, who is German, claims that I shouldn't support Bayern Munich because the Bavarian region is notoriously conservative. Is this true? Are German football fans political? I have a feeling that my good buddy Brian (a true football Renaissance man) might know the answer to this. is it the same game? No, Super Mario World took place after Yoshis Island (in the mario timeline). But the game 'Yoshis Island' takes place entirely on Yoshis Island, and you play as Yoshis to try and save baby luigi.I'm pretty sure it is completely different. I know Super Mario World is when you play as Mario like the original except there are parts when you ride yoshi. I'm not sure but I think Yoshi's Island is where you play as yoshi and baby Mario. And, assuming that he did win the WWE Championship, OR DID NOT, what would your views be? Be nice.If this was a work, and I sincerely hope it is, I wouldn't be surprised. This reeks of morbid Vince humor. Think about it, we've just past the anniversary of Eddie Guerrero's death, Jeff's demons are fairly common knowledge amongst fans, and Vince has always had this perverse moral ambiguity. Either way, when the night ends I'm going to find myself disappointed in one of two people. Either Vince, once again, or Jeff...sadly, once again. And don't get me wrong, I'm not Hardy bashing. People construe this as me hating Jeff, but I don't. I'm a fan of the little day glow rainbow colored spot...... - 2009-07-04

» Browser interface events

Hi.. I'm interested in knowing how the browser interface events (e.g. the browser menu selections, clicks on the browser tool bar) can be captured and which language is more suitable for such tasks. Thank you.Hi, Mostly one would use a scripting language like Javascript or VBScript to react on events happening on a browser page like going to a new page etc. VBScript is nice but most browsers are compatible with Javascript (Do not confuse Java with JavaScript - it's similar in ways but 2 totally different things). If you want to go to more advanced web programming to work with databases you would probably look more towards doing JAVA or ASP programming. The latest .NET IDE technologies like Delphi 2005 and Visual Studio .NET 200...... - 2009-07-04

» New member with questions

I just found this site and I'm sure impressed with the quality of image posts. I'm looking for a new digital camera and hope I can get some help. I've been a long time SLR film photographer. For digital I have a Canon S60 which has been very serviceable, however I really miss manual lens focus. Is this only available in SLR's? Also I'm intrigued by the 10X etc optical zooms - how good is the image quality at full zoom? The S60 has given me great macros and I see that going macro with SLR's can be a big additional expense - any suggestions? Finally what is the advantage of going from 5 megapixels to 10 - is it only for printing or am I going to get a clearer image? I know this is a lot of questions - any help on any of them would be apprecia...... - 2009-07-04

» vBulletin and Multisite support

I think I'm about to make the switch. I am running 15 sites with a combined total of nearly 1,000,000 pageviews monthly ~ 15GB bandwidth, etc, etc, etc. I am currently running PostNuke with PNphpBB2 and they're all sharing the same user information. 1) Can I easily run multiple different sites with different forums with vBulletin? I know that I will have to have a license for each forum, that's not the issue, can it be done easily ... like in an hour by an advanced amateur? Example: Let's just say that I wanted www.toast.com (http://www.toast.com), www.bread.com (http://www.bread.com), www.rolls.com (http://www.rolls.com) and www.pizza.com (http://www.pizza.com) to have independant content but the same user list. » WHO- Dick Thomson - BBC Interview

Here are links to a current interview from the BBC with Dick Thomson from the WHO. It is remarkably dull and clearly downplays any suggestion of an imminent risk. What I did find interesting however, was an ever so subtle hint of politics at play e.g. the new WHO Director-General, who herself is well acquainted with avianflu and pandemicflu matters. Windows Media Player - interview starts at the 1 minute 30 second mark - http://streaming-ws.bbc.co.uk.edgesuite.net/asx.esi?worldservice/tx/nb/healthcheck.wma BBC link http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmes/health_check.shtmlMr. Thomson asserts there is no H2H at this time. » What's TIna TUrner's song "WHat's Love got to do with it" Mean?

can someone tell me the message behind it? or their interpretation of it? You can probably look it up somewhere. I think there is a website called lyricmeanings or something like that. I think it is about staying in a relationship that is just so-so or just barely meets your needs. Maybe it's about being with someone out of convenience or you just don't think you can get out of it for economic reasons or whatever. Maybe you think you can't do any better for yourself and you are stuck. She says What's love, but a sweet old fashioned notion? That sounds like someone who has given up on true love. If you know anything about Tina's relationship with her former husband Ike, it might have something to do with t...... - 2009-07-04

There are columns and rows, and some cells have formulae: Each week is one row. The local wave is asumed to start on week 1, meaning these are not real calendar weeks. Columns include formulae for number of diseased, number of severe cases, number of deaths, etc. All the formulae depend on a small number of parameters: size of the population (a country, a county, the elderly, diabet...... - 2009-07-04

they don't itch anymore, and i've had them for about a month. now, they just look like dime-sized bruises. they don't hurt like bruises, and i didn't scratch at them when they itched, so i don't think they're scars. is this anything i should worry about? it's not bothering me, but i wanna know why this happened.Well what my ma used to do is she would take a lit cigarette, and hold it above the mosquito bite, very close but not touching it. the smoke dries up all the posion in the bite, and the bite will go away in a day or two, worked every timeI don't know why this happened but make sure you put some rubbing alcohol on them!...... - 2009-07-04
